Typically, a late model motorcycle is selected to become a trike
conversion. In this example, we are converting a Honda GL1800
Goldwing using Lehman's Monarch kit. Click on a picture to

Step 1
After ensuring that the motorcycle is geometrically square, we
begin the disassembly phase. We remove the tour pack and
saddlebags, driveshaft and swingarm, and rear wheel and suspension
components. Many parts will be reused in the conversion and
great care is taken to preserve their integrity. |

|
Step 2
The new Lehman swingarm and axle are fitted to the original
frame. The driveshaft is reinstalled and care is taken to ensure
precise alignment between the rear-end and the chassis.

Step 3
The exhaust, brake and parking brake hardware is installed. The
body support frame is installed. All mechanical and structural
modifications are complete. |
 |
Step 4
Lights are mounted in the body while side panels are fit for
proper clearance. The tour pack is reinstalled, running boards are
attached, and all electrical components are integrated.
